The musical activities, part of the event “I Suoni dell’anima - Un’Isola di Musica - Festival d’estate 2009” continue at the Teatro Lirico di Cagliari, with six performances dedicated to sacred music. Giuseppe Polese conducts the Teatro Lirico Chorus, the soloists are Loredana Aramu, Beatrice Murtas (sopranos), Giuliana Porcu (mezzosoprano), Maria Grazia Chirco (contralto), Alessandro Bellanova (tenor) and Paolo Piras (baritone). Fabrizio Marchionni accompanies on the organ.
The musical programme includes: Locus iste for chapel choir by Anton Brukner; Ave Verum by Edward Elgar; Missa brevis for choir and organ by Zoltàn Kodàly; Westminster Abbey by Marco Enrico Bossi.
The aim of the event “I Suoni dell'anima” is to enhance the most beautiful Sardinian churches and places of worship through the performance of music, which is characteristically sacred and religiously inspired.

- Friday 12th June at 7.45pm at the Parish church of San Biagio in Villasor,
- Thursday 18th June at 9pm at the Parish church in Orani,
- Friday 19th June at 7pm at the Parish church of San Gavino in Gavoi,
- Tuesday 23rd June at 9pm at the Teatro in Paulilatino.
