On Friday 25th April at 7pm, for the 2008 Opera and Ballet Season and the VIII Festival di Sant’Efisio, Michel Dalberto will be performing a tasteful piano recital, at the Teatro Lirico di Cagliari, The recital is dedicated entirely to the variations on operatic themes by Franz Liszt and Zoltán Kocsis, which were inspired mainly by music from Verdi and Wagner.

The musical programme includes: O du Mein holder Abendstern, recitative and romanza from Tannhäuser R 277 by Franz Liszt; Prelude from Tristan und Isolde by Richard Wagner by Zoltán Kocsis; Isoldens Liebestod, from Tristan und Isolde by Richard Wagner R 280, Weinen, Klagen, Sorgen, Zagen, R 23 (by Johann Sebastian Bach: BWV 12), O sommo Carlo, from Ernani by Giuseppe Verdi, Études d’éxécution transcendante R 2b: n. 10 in F minor; n. 11 Harmonies du soir in D flat major; n. 12 Chasse-neige in B flat minor, Miserere, from Il trovatore by Giuseppe Verdi by Franz Liszt.

The 2008 Opera and Ballet Season is subsidized by the Regione Autonoma della Sardegna, Fondazione Banco di Sardegna, Poste Italiane, Energit S.p.A. and is accomplished in collaboration with the Azienda e Vigneto Feudi della Medusa.

Entrance to the concert is free for the 2008 Opera and Ballet Season ticket holders.
