From Wednesday 25th November, the “Schools Programme 2009-2010” begins once again at the Teatro Lirico di Cagliari

On Wednesday 25th Thursday 26th, Friday 27th and Saturday 28th November, at 11am at the Teatro Lirico di Cagliari, the educational music activities dedicated to schools begin again: four appointments in which Andrea Battistoni conducts the Teatro Lirico Orchestra for concerts dedicated to the brilliant Ludwig van Beethoven.

The programme, which includes Ludwig van Beethoven’s very famous Seventh Symphony in A major Op. 92, is aimed mainly at primary, middle and high schools and at the Art schools in Sardinia.

Ludwig van Beethoven (Bonn, 1770 – Vienna, 1827) composed the Seventh Symphony between 1811 and 1812 and amongst the countless and prestigious critical essays written, Richard Wagner’s stands out particularly in “The Artwork of the Future”. Regarding this masterpiece he wrote, “The symphony is the apotheosis of dance: it is dance in its most supreme essence, the most blissful fulfilment of body movement, concentrated almost ideally on sounds. In his works Beethoven brought the body into music, accomplishing a fusion between the body and the mind.”
