“Sapori d’opera”: the Teatro Lirico’s new restaurant opens on Saturday 13th June
On Saturday 13th June at 9pm “Sapori d’opera” the Teatro Lirico di Cagliari’s new restaurant will be officially opened, with Gabriele Piga as chef.
Born in Sassari, 33 years old, a pupil of Sergio Mei, famous chef at the “Four Seasons Hotel” in Milan, Gabriele Piga studied and went on to specialize in Ireland, France, Costa Smeralda, Sassari and Porto Torres, where a few years ago he opened the restaurant “Sa Pedra Nuda”. His cooking originates from the Sardinian culture and from the flavours typical of the island’s traditions, which he evolves through his personal creativity, blending together also international dishes and recipes (Kitchen Fusion). “Sapori d’opera’s” menù will include many of his particular and ususual creations: risotto al moscato with grilled oranges, raw dried salted cod and olive sorbet, spaghetti in scorpian soup with raw ginger salad and delicious desserts, gin and tonic with the meal. Besides the traditional à la carte menu, there will also be several other dishes to taste included in two set menus (€ 35/€ 70), accompanied by a wide assortment of wines, especially local wines.
