The 2007-2008 Concert Season of the Teatro Lirico di Cagliari continues on Monday, 3rd December, at 8.30 p.m, with the Teatro Lirico Orchestra and Chorus, conducted by Massimiliano Carraro.

The solo roles are played by soprano Mariella Devia, baritone Alfonso Antoniozzi and violinist Anna Tifu, from Cagliari. The chorus master is Andrea Faidutti.

The special non-subscrition concert, A Gift by L’Unione Sarda, is offered to 2007-2008 Concert Season subscribers and, for the second consecutive year, is already booked out.

The concert programme, wich includes very famous arias and duets and some pages of immortal music, contemplates: Symphony from Guglielmo Tell by Gioachino Rossini; “Aprite un po’ quegl’occhi” from Le nozze di Figaro by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart; “Quanto amore” from L’elisir d’amore by Gaetano Donizetti; Méditation for violin and orchestra by Jules Massenet; “È strano! È strano!” from La Traviata by Giuseppe Verdi; “Madamigella Valery? Son io” from La Traviata by Giuseppe Verdi; Carmen Fantasy op. 25 by Pablo de Sarasate; “Casta Diva” from Norma by Vincenzo Bellini; “Udite, udite, o rustici” from L’elisir d’amore by Gaetano Donizetti; Gran finale II from Aida by Giuseppe Verdi.

The 2007-2008 Concert Season has the contribution of the Fondazione Banco di Sardegna and is realized in collaboration with the Winery and Vineyard Feudi della Medusa.
