Season tickets for the Teatro Lirico di Cagliari 2009-2010 Concert Season are available. Season ticket holders will be able to confirm or change seats subject to availability up until Saturday 17th October

New season tickets will be on sale from Tuesday 20th October until Saturday 31st October 2009.

For the 2009-2010 Concert Season there are two sessions for season tickets, for the 17 performances each. The opening performance of the season is on Friday 6th November at 8.30pm and Saturday 7th November at 7pm. The Teatro Lirico Orchestra and Chorus, conducted by Pinchas Steinberg perform Rendering, a particular and charming reinterpretation by Luciano Berio of a piano draft dated 1828 by Franz Schubert for Symphony in D major, which was never completed. The second part is dedicated entirely to one of the most extraordinary masterpieces in the history of music: Ludwig van Beethoven’s Ninth Symphony, an impressive symphonic-choral piece, composed between 1822 and 1824. The fourth movement (Finale) includes the celebrated “Inno alla gioia” on a test by Friedrich von Schiller, through which the brilliant German composer invites all into a universal fraternity. The soloists are: Adina Aaron (soprano), Ildiko Komlosi (mezzosoprano), intense and much applauded Santuzza in the Cavalleria rusticana in June, Scott Mac Allister (tenor) and Rudolph Rosen (bass).

As with every season, seats in the theatre are sub-divided into layout (stalls, dress circle and balcony) and blocks (yellow, red and blue). Ticket prices vary according to position and block. (see layout)

Tickets for all the performances of the Concert Season will be on sale from Tuesday 3rd November.

The 2007-2008 Concert Season is subsidized by the Fondazione Banco di Sardegna.
