The Accademia Internazionale di Musica di Cagliari (International Music Academy of Cagliari) in collaboration with the Fondazione Teatro Lirico di Cagliari, presents the fourth edition on the International Festival “Le notti musicali” on the evenings 3rd, 4th and 5th September 2009, at 9pm.

On Thursday 3rd September, the duo, Fabio Bidini, piano and Jean Ferrandis, flute, will be performing Serenata Op. 41 in D major by Beethoven. The Modigliani Quartet follow (Philippe Bernhard, violin, Loic Rio violin, Laurent Marfaing viola and François Kieffer cello), playing Strings Quartet N. 6 Op. 80 in F by Mendelssohn. During the second part of the evening: Isabelle Perrin, harp, performs Tema e Variazioni by Haydn, the Modigliani Quartet and Cristian Marcia, guitar, with Quartet in D major by Haydn and again the Modigliani Quartet and Cristian Marcia with Serenata Op. 50 by Arnold.

The second concert on Friday 4th September opens with Sonata N. 2 Op. 58 in D major by Mendelssohn performed by Philippe Mulleron the cello and Fabio Bidini on the piano. Trio fro strings N. 1 Op. 70 follows with Philippe Muller and Regis Pasquier, violin and Jacques Rouvier, piano. During the second part the piano duo Patrick Zygmanowski and Tamayo Ikeda perform Musiche per pianoforte a quattro mani by Schubert. The Quintet made up of the Modigliani Quartet and Fabio Bidini perform Quintet for piano and strings Op. 44 by Schumann., brinig the evening to a close.

On Saturday 5th September, the soprano Peggy Bouveret, the pianist Michael Ertzscheid and the Modigliani Quartet perform “Chanson perpetuelle” by Chausson. Jean-Marc Luisada follows on the piano with Nocturns by Chopin and Octet for strings Op. 20 by Mendelssohn performed by Roland Daugareil, Philippe Bernhard, Tomasz Tomaszewski and Loic Rio on the violin, Simone Muller and Laurent Marfaing on the viola, and Philippe Muller and François Kieffer on the cello ending the evening.
