From Thursday 24th April to Saturday 10th May 2008, the exhibition La leggenda della città invisibile di Kitež e della fanciulla Fevronija: sotto il vestito dell’opera; will be held in the Stalls foyer of the Teatro Lirico di Cagliari. The photographs, by Priamo Tolu, tell the story of the creation of this opening new staging.
As everyone knows, the musical masterpiece by Nikolaj Rimskij-Korsakov opens the 2008 Opera and Ballet Season and the VIII Festival di Sant’Efisio on Thursday 24th April at 8pm at the Teatro Lirico di Cagliari.
There are 11 panels, each showing three images, using a fascinating digital technique through black and white, and colour, that reveal the craftsmanship of the props, scenography and costumes’ workshops, the technology of the electricians and sound technicians, the techniques of the stage crew, the smiths and the carpenters and the artistic talent of the make-up and wigs department.
