For the third year running the Fondazione Teatro Lirico di Cagliari and the Accademia Internazionale di Musica di Cagliari, will be working together for the International Festival “Le notti musicali” on the evenings 4th, 5th and 6th September 2008, at 9pm. The prestigious co-production proposes solo recitals and chamber music includine unpublished compositions involving internationally famous musicians.

The first evening Thursday 4th September begins with Cristian Marcia, guitar with the quintet and the Quartetto Modigliani performing Adagio by Marcello, Adagio by Albinoni and Romanza by Paganini. Trio di Marcia continue with Shigenori Kudo, flute and Koichiro Harada, violin, performing the Overture of the Barber of Se ville and the Gazza ladra by Rossini. The second part of the evening includes the Quintet for piano and strings by Brahms with Michel Dalberto piano and the Quartetto Modigliani.

For the concert on Friday 5th the programme includes Fantasia su Rigoletto by Doppler for two flutes and piano with Jean Ferrandis and Shigenori Kudo, flute and Patrick Zygmanowski, piano, the preludes by Scriabin with the pianist Ludmila Berlinskaia and the quartet with Isabelle Perrin, harp and the Quartetto Modigliani performing the Conte Fantastique by Caplet. The second part of the evening includes the singer Peggy Bouveret and Zygmanowski with Porgy and Bess by Gershwin. The performance ends with Bruno Canino, piano and Regis Pasquier, violin, performing Les Airs Bohemiens by Sarasate.

On Saturday 6th the Trio made up of Tomasz Tomaszewski violin, Fabio Bidini piano and Ilea Catalin cello perform Trio by Bruch. The Quartet on Don Giovanni by Mozart with Ferrandis and the Quartetto Modigliani. In the second part Jean-Marc Luisada piano and the Quartetto Modigliani perform Quintet for piano by Dvorak. Luisada and Ludmila Berlinskaia, piano bring the eveninig to a close with Hungarian Rhapsodies by Brahms for piano, four hands.
