On Sunday 4th May 2008 “Aperitivo in musica - Feudi della Medusa” continues in the Stalls Foyer at the Teatro Lirico, Cagliari
On Sunday 4th May at 11am in the stalls foyer of the Teatro Lirico di Cagliari, the exhibition "Aperitivo in musica - Feudi della Medusa" continues following the success of the last three years. There will be ten performances held on Sundays or holidays at 11am, with solists from the Teatro Lirico Orchestra and Chorus. "Feudi della Medusa" are delighted to invite spectators to taste some of their wines after the concerts.
On Sunday, the ensemble Musica per archi e corni will be performing with Gianmaria Melis, Peter Maio violin, Salvatore Rea viola, Vladimiro Atzeni cello, Simone Guarneri double bass and Alessandro Ferrari and Claudio Carta horn. The rare and flowing musical programme includes: "Ein musikalischer Spass" in F major K. 522 (a musical joke, based on a parody of mediocre musicians) by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart; Sextet in E flat major for 2 horns and string quartet Op. 81b by Ludwig van Beethoven; Four part Sonatas n. 2 in A major, n. 3 in C major, n. 6 in D major con ‘Finale La tempesta’, for 2 violins, cello and double bass by Gioachino Rossini. It is an excellent chance to listen to and become acquainted with the soloists from the Teatro Lirico, Cagliari Orchestra and Chorus in a repertoire that ranges from chamber and classical music to contemporary and touching the captivating tones of ethnic and pop music. What makes the exhibition so unique, is that the music is combined with wine: the title “Aperitivo in musica - Feudi della Medusa” comes from the wine producing company “Feudi della Medusa”, established in S. Margherita di Pula in 1996, by the couple Heide and Francesco Siclari, who have dedicated passion and research work to the company. They are leaders in the production of quality wines, native and international, and have been sponsors of the Teatro Lirico di Cagliari for three years. The company is especially involved in this musical event and after each performance offers the opportunity to taste some of its fine wines, fruit of the company’s precious terroir ( a French term used in wine production that defines all the factors, from the environment and the cultivation techniques to the protection of the controlled denomination of origin).
