On Wednesday 20th February 2008 at 9pm and on Thursday 21st February at 11am, in the splendid surroundings of Teatro del Carmine in Tempio Pausania, the educational programme for schools begins once again with the first two of the four musical dates that involve the Teatro Lirico Chorus prepared by Fulvio Fogliazza, the mezzosoprano Irene Macutan, the pianist Francesca Pittau and as speaker, the musicologist Mariella Longu. The tribute concert conducted by Massimiliano Murrali, is dedicated to the truly romantic music of the nineteenth century and the romantic liederistic choral music, entitled Lettere d’amore (Love letters).

The musical programme is intended particularly for primary schools, middle schools, high schools, and for the Sardinian art schools. It has been included in the event “Un’Isola di musica 2008”. It includes: An die Sonne; Viel tausend Sterne prangen D 642; Der 23. Psalm op. 132; La pastorella by Franz Peter Schubert; Choral for mezzosoprano and chorus; Geistliches Lied for mezzosoprano and chorus; Fruhlingsfeier op. 48 n. 3; Lob des Frühlings op. 100 n. 2; Frühlingslied Op. 100 n. 3 by Felix Mendelssohn-Bartholdy; Du Ring an meinem Finger; Die Capelle op. 60 n. 6; Zahnwen op. 55 n. 2 by Robert Schumann.

The two further dates are: Friday 29th February at 11am and Saturday 1st March at 11am both at the Istituto Alberghiero “Antonio Gramsci” in Monserrato (Cagliari).
