The traditional Christmas Concert continues its Sardinian tour; as it has become usual, this year the leading role will be once again played by the Teatro Lirico di Cagliari Treble Chorus, conducted by Enrico Di Maira, accompanied at the organ by Fabrizio Marchionni.

The music program contemplates: Ave Maria, op. 67 n. 2 (1877), Ave verum, op. 65 n. 1 (1895) by Gabriel Faurè (Pamiers, Ariège, 1845 – Parigi, 1924); Ave Maria, op. 145 (1914) by Camille Saint-Saëns (Paris, 1835 – Algiers, 1921); Missa brevis in re op. 63 (1959) by Benjamin Britten (Lowestoft, Suffolk, 1913 – Aldeburgh, Suffolk, 1976); Organ Concerto n. 1 in F Major “The Cuckoo and the Nightingale”, HWV 295 (1739 circa) di Georg Friedrich Händel (Halle an der Saale, Sassonia, 1685 – Londra, 1759); Traditional Christmas Songs, for treble chorus and organ by Various Authors.

The Christmas concert tour has the contribution of the District for Tourism, Arts and Crafts, and Commerce of the Autonomous Region of Sardinia and the Fondazione Banco di Sardegna.
