Verso Natale: un concerto per la cittą. Andrea Battistoni conducts the Teatro Lirico Orchestra and Chorus closing the TEATRO APERTO Project

On Friday 4th December at 8.30pm the young and talented Andrea Battistoni only 22 years old conducts the Teatro Lirico Orchestra and Chorus, in an extraordinary concert not included on the Season ticket entitled Verso Natale: un concerto per la città. Soloists: Graziella Ortu (soprano) and Irene Macutan (mezzosoprano).

The musical programme includes: Ludwig van Beethoven’s First Symphony in C major Op. 21 and his Second Symphony in D major Op. 36; Gloria in D major RV 589 by Antonio Vivaldi.

The concert will also be performed with the same musical programme except for Ludwig van Beethoven’s Second Symphony on Saturday 5th December at 11am in a performance dedicated mainly to primary, middle and secondary schools and the art schools in Sardinia.

Tickets: € 5.00, students € 0.50.

Verso Natale: un concerto per la città is subsidized by the Fondazione Banco di Sardegna and is accomplished in collaboration with the Social Politics Councillor’s Department of Cagliari Town Council.

Verso Natale: un concerto per la città concludes the Sardinian tourism promotion project, entitled TEATRO APERTO, subsidized by the Tourism, crafts and commerce Councillorship of the Regione Autonoma della Sardegna. On Friday 4th and Saturday 5th December the Teatro Lirico di Cagliari workshops and rehearsal rooms will be open for bilingual guided tours from 10am to 2pm.
