The 2007-2008 Concert Season of the Teatro Lirico di Cagliari continues on Friday 18th January at 8.30 p.m. (A series) and on Saturday 19th January at 7 p.m., its ninth date featuring the Teatro Lirico Orchestra, Chorus and Children’s Chorus, under the Slovenian conductor Marko Letonja.

The programme of the music includes: Concert No 1 in E flat major for piano and orchestra R 455 and Concert No 2 in Amajor for piano and orchestra R 456 by Franz Liszt; Carmina Burana, «cantiones profanae» for soloes, choir, children’s choir and Orchestra by Carl Orff.

The solo roles are played by pianist Freddy Kempf, soprano Katarzyna Dondalska, tenor Matthias Rexroth and baritone Brian Davis. The Chorus master is Fulvio Fogliazza, at his debut at Cagliari Opera House and the Children's Chorus master is Enrico Di Maira.

The 2007-2008 Concert Season has the contribution of the Fondazione Banco di Sardegna.
