Teatro Lirico di Cagliari Orchestra in Il miracolo della musica
for “Un’Isola di musica 2008”

On Thursday 24th January 2008 at 9.00pm, in the charming setting of the Teatro del Carmine in Tempio Pausania, the Sardinian tour of the Il miracolo della musica begins, for the exhibition “Un’Isola di musica 2008” (An Island of Music 2008). The concert performed by the Teatro Lirico di Cagliari Orchestra and directed by Sandro Sanna, will take place in three different towns, for a total of nine performances, of which seven aimed above all at schools. As three soloists from the Teatro Lirico di Cagliari Orchestra: Luca Soru (violin), Roberto Castellani (violin), Luca Maria Leone (horn).

The programme includes Concerto in E flat major for horn and orchestra K.495 by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart ; Concerto in D minor for two violins, strings, basso continuo and orchestra BWV 1043 by Johann Sebastian Bach; Symphony in D major n.96 “The Miracle” by Franz Joseph Haydn.

The tour continues: Friday 25th January at 11.00am at the Teatro del Carmine di Tempio Pausania, (a performance for schools); Saturday 26th January at 10.00am at the Centro Comunale d’Arte e Cultura La Vetreria in Cagliari-Pirri (a performance for schools); Monday 28th January at 11.00am in the Orchestra Rehearsal Room at the Teatro Lirico di Cagliari (a performance for schools); Tuesday 29th January at 11.00am in the Orchestra Rehearsal Room at the Teatro Lirico di Cagliari (a performance for schools); Wednesday 30th January at 10.30am in the Orchestra Rehearsal Room at the Teatro Lirico di Cagliari (a performance for schools); Thursday 31st January at 10.30am in the Orchestra Rehearsal Room at the Teatro Lirico di Cagliari (a performance for schools); Friday 1st February at 7.00pm at the Centro Comunale d’Arte e Cultura La Vetreria in Cagliari-Pirri; Saturday 2nd February at 11.00am in the Orchestra Rehearsal Room at the Teatro Lirico di Cagliari (a performance for schools).

The entire programme “Un’Isola di musica 2008” has been susidized by Commitee for Tourism, Crafts Industry and Trade of the Autonomous Region of Sardinia and by the Fondazione Banco di Sardegna and organised with the collaboration of the Local Administration of Cagliari and Tempio Pausania.
