The Teatro Lirico Orchestra and chorus continues the tour of Sardinia. The concert entitled Ciak, si gira! conducted by Robert Purvis, will be performed in eight locations as aprt of the event “Un’Isola di musica 2008”. The evening programme, dedicated to well-known sound tracks and captivating themes from the most famous musicals, includes: E.T. by John Williams; Carmina Burana: O Fortuna (Excalibur) by Carl Orff; Nobody Does It Better – (Agent 007: The spy that loved me) by Marvin Hamlisch; Gigi by Frederick Loewe – Alan Jay Lerner; The Rhythm of Life (Sweet Charity. A girl who wanted to be loved) by Cy Coleman; Lawrence of Arabia by Maurice Jarre; Can't Help Loving that Man (Show Boat) by Jerome Kern - Oscar Hammerstein; What’ll I Do (The Great Gatsby) by Irvin Berlin; I Will Follow Him (Sister Act) by J. W. Stole & Del Roma; Schindler’s List by John Williams; Superstar (Jesus Christ Superstar) by Andrew Lloyd Webber - Tim Rice; Diamonds Are Forever by John Barry; Moon River (Breakfast at Tiffany’s) by Henry Mancini – Johnny Mercer; Colonel Bogey March (The bridge on the river Kwai) by Kenneth Alford; Those Magnificent Men in their Flying Machines by Ron Goodwin; I Got the Sun in the Morning (Annie Get Your Gun) by Irvin Berlin.

The tour dates are:
- Thursday 31st July at 9pm at the Arena Mirastelle in Carbonia
- Friday 1st August at 9pm in the grounds of San Pantaleo Cathedral in Dolianova,
- Saturday 2nd August at 9pm at the Centro Comunale d’Arte e Cultura La Vetreria, Cagliari-Pirri,
- Monday 4th August at 9pm in Piazza del Comune in Pula,
- Tuesday 5th august at 9pm in the Piazzale del Palasport in Serdiana,
- Wednesday 6th August at 9pm in the Piazza ex Scuole via del Mare in Villasimius,
- Friday 8th August at 9pm in the Cloisters San Francesco in Iglesias,
- Saturday 9th August at 9pm at the Centro Comunale d’Arte e Cultura La Vetreria in Cagliari-Pirri.
