On Monday, 12th November 2007 at 8.30 p.m. (series E), the prestigious and celebrated dance company Ballet de l’Opéra de Lyon is on stage for the 2007 Opera and Ballet Season of the Teatro Lirico di Cagliari, performing Cendrillon, a ballet in three acts based on Nikolaj Volkov’s scenario, after Charles Perrault’s fairy-tale, music by Sergej Prokof’ev and additional musical sequences by Jean Schwartz.

The Teatro Lirico Orchestra is conducted by Mikhail Agrest. The choreography, created in November 1985, is by Maguy Marin, scenery and costumes by Montserrat Casanova, masks by Monique Luyton and lighting by John Spradbery.

The brilliant French choreographer, comes again to Cagliari, where she last was in August 1986 at the Roman Amphitheatre for her unconventional and ingenious Babel Babel.

The latest performance of Cendrillon in Cagliari dates back to March 2005 (Finnish national Ballet)
