Season tickets for the Teatro Lirico di Cagliari 2008-2009 Concert Season are available from Tuesday 23rd September. Season ticket holders will be able to confirm or change seats subject to availability up until Tuesday 14th October.

New season tickets will be on sale from Wednesday 15th October to Friday 24th October 2008.

For the 2008-2009 Concert Season there are two sessions for season tickets, for the 17 performances each. The opening performance of the season will be on Friday 24th October at 8.30pm and Saturday 25th October at 7pm. The Teatro Lirico Orchestra and Chorus, conducted by Hartmut Haenchen will perform two pieces: the opera Bluebeard’s Castle by Bèla Bartók’s in concert form, which was composed in 1918 and is an example of symbolic musical impressionism and Te Deum the impressive choral- symphonic mastepiece from 1936 by the talented Hungarian composer Zoltán Kodály. Serena Farnocchia, Lioba Braun, Celso Albelo and Rudolf Rosen are the soloists and Eörs Kisfaludy the narrator.

As with every season, seats in the theatre are sub-divided into layout (stalls, dress circle and balcony) and blocks (yellow, red and blue). Ticket prices vary according to position and block. (see layout)

Tickets for all the performances of the Concert Season will be on sale from Tuesday 21st October.

The 2007-2008 Concert Season is subsidized by the Fondazione Banco di Sardegna Poste Italiane, Energit S.p.A and is accomplished in collaboration with the Azienda e Vigneto Feudi della Medusa.
