2010/2011 Concert Season launched.
BOD approves the 2009 accounts, closure balances for the sixth year.
Interesting news, top ranking Italian artists and great names from the international music scene characterize this 2010/2011 Concert Season at the Teatro Lirico di Cagliari launched on Friday 25th June by the Theatre’s Board of Directors The BOD also approved the final balance for 2009, breaking even for the sixth year in a row. “This proves the successful management results that have distinguished my entire mandate in Cagliari”, reveals the CE Maurizio Pierantonio. “A management, which despite the minimal profits, has placed the Lirico in a unique position among the Italian Establishments due to the monetary austerity and the quality of the artistic productions expressed, two factors that the Cagliari public (and not only) have shown appreciation for.”
International Selections through qualifications and examinations, for Orchestra members
The Teatro Lirico di Cagliari Establishment announces International Selections for qualifications and examinations, for Orchestra members to be included in the classification list allowing candidates to proceed to possible recruiting, with a fixed term contract, substitutions and any requirements regarding the artistic activities of the 2010/2011 Season. The selections regard the following instruments: Leader First Violins to include second and third duty and section duty as required; Sub Leader First Violins with third duty and section duty as required Section violin; First Viola with second duty and section duty as required; Section Viola Section Cello; Section Double bass with V cord duty as required; Second Flute with piccolo duty and flute section duty as required; Piccolo with second flute duty and section duty as required; Second Oboe with cor anglais duty and oboe section duty as required; Cor anglais with second oboe duty and oboe section duty as required; First Clarinet with E flat clarinet duty and section duty as required; Second Clarinet with E flat clarinet duty and section duty as required; Second Bassoon with section duty as required; Contrabassoon with bassoon section duty as required; Third Horn with horn section duty as required; Second – Fourth Horn with horn section duty as required; Second Trumpet with third trumpet duty and section duty as required; Second Trombone with third trombone duty and section duty as required; Third Trombone with bass trombone duty and section duty as required; Bass Tuba; Percussions with keyboard duty and all tuned and untuned percussion instruments; Harp; Piano and Celesta.

The Teatro Lirico di Cagliari Establishment announces International Selections for qualifications and examinations, for Chorus members to be included in the classification list allowing candidates to proceed to possible recruiting, with a fixed term contract, substitutions and any requirements regarding the artistic activities of the 2010/2011 Season. The selections regard the following voices: Sopranos; Mezzo sopranos; Contraltos; Tenors; Baritones; Basses.
In distribuzione il nuovo numero di Luglio-Settembre 2010 de Il Lirico
Il numero di Luglio-Settembre presenta la Stagione concertistica 2010-2011 attraverso un'interessante escursus del Direttore artistico Massimo Biscardi. Introdotto dalle parole del Sovrintendente Maurizio Pietrantonio che esalta "la passione e la professionalità" di tutti i Lavoratori del Teatro Lirico di Cagliari. All'interno "il ritorno della Tosca" anticipa un simpaticissimo articolo di Massimiliano Medda incentrato sulla sua esperienza al Lirico con le attività dedicate ai bambini. E proprio ai bambini è dedicato anche l'apporto di Enrico Di Maira che illustra l'emozione dei piccoli membri dell'Orchestra Giovanile Sant'Elia. Piccoli flash rimandano agli allestimenti del Teatro Lirico di Cagliari in scena in varie parti del mondo (Wiesbaden, Parma, Salerno, Palermo, etc.) ed alle forme di protesta gestite con eleganza dai Lavoratori del Teatro Lirico di Cagliari contro il Decreto sulla Riforma delle Fondazioni Lirico-Sinfoniche (oramai Legge). Il consueto appuntamento con la storia di Cagliari, illustrato da Antonello Angioni, propone "il tempo del grande cinema e della rivista" corredato da stupende foto di altrettanto stupende attrici italiane.
La Biglietteria del Teatro Lirico di Cagliari chiude per ferie dal 19 luglio al 20 settembre
Da lunedì 19 luglio fino a lunedì 20 settembre la Biglietteria del Teatro Lirico di Cagliari sarà chiusa al pubblico per ferie. Riaprirà, con i consueti orari, martedì 21 settembre prossimo.
Notes in September nights with the International Music Academy of Cagliari
The Accademia Internazionale di Musica di Cagliari (International Music Academy of Cagliari) in collaboration once again with the Fondazione Teatro Lirico di Cagliari, presents the International Festival “Le notti musicali” on the evenings 2nd, 3rd and 4th September 2010, at 9pm. The prestigious co-production includes soloists’ recitals and chamber music with new formations involving musicians of international fame.
